Coats, Cans & Community Care: Sharing the Warmth in St. Michaels
At Inn at Perry Cabin, community is at the heart of everything we do. This season, we are proud to launch our first annual Coats, Cans & Community Care Drive, an initiative created in partnership with the St. Michaels Community Center to support neighbors in need throughout Talbot County. From November 10 through November 30, guests, locals, and visitors alike are invited to join us in spreading warmth, comfort, and essential support during the colder months.
Thanks to this incredible outpouring of generosity, the drive resulted in the collection of 55 winter coats and 658 canned goods—each one helping provide warmth and nourishment to local families. We are deeply grateful to our guests, neighbors, and team members who made this community effort such a meaningful success.
Supporting Our Community Through Essential Donations
Our drive focuses on collecting items that make an immediate impact. We welcome:
- New or gently worn coats for all ages
- Non-perishable foods
- Canned meals that don’t require a can opener
- Bread and crackers
- Shelf-stable milk
- Basic spices such as salt, pepper, and garlic powder
Donations may be conveniently dropped off at The SHOP or with Valet—guests may simply pull up and hand off their items. This easy, accessible approach ensures everyone can participate without stress or inconvenience.
Warm hearts deserve a little warmth in return.
As a thank-you for your generosity, donors will receive 25% off at The SHOP, Spa Boutique, Purser’s Pub, and STARS, along with the opportunity to fill out a raffle ticket for a chance to win a selection of special experiences.
