Inn at Perry Cabin highlighted several groups of team members on social media as Hospitable Hearts, our dedicated crew who provide world-class service to all our valued guests. On property, guests enjoyed our signature pineapple dessert and cocktail. The Pineapple Posset featured pineapple variations with cornflower and pineapple mint garnish. The I Prefer Pineapple cocktail was comprised of bourbon, fernet, pineapple shrub, lemon juice, egg white, and bitters. Jan Kirsh Studio also kindly returned her beautiful pineapple sculpture to our Lobby in celebration of Pineapple Week.

The pineapple was first used as the symbol of hospitality over 500 years ago. After exploration at sea, sailors would search for places to rest in port towns. Residents would let sailors know which homes they were welcome to by placing a pineapple at the entrance. Today, the pineapple is still a fitting symbol of hospitality and the industry - you are likely to find a pineapple on your travels, whether a lamp, door knocker, or candleholder.
